Recurring animals

Dragonflies and Ducks.

We were out taking a nature walk with some friends when we saw some ducks floating in the water. Someone pointed out "isn't it funny they are never alone. Usually in pairs" It was a cute moment with my girlfriend and it immediately gave me a comforting sense of family. Fast forward some months... I was proposing to my her by water and there are ducks wading there quacking away while I'm trying to pop the big question. Now just a few weeks ago, we were touring a location to hold the wedding and when we went outside a huge flock flew over head. They were quacking so loud we all paused and our host said he had never seen so many in the air together like that all at once.

Dragonflies have been drawn to us very often. I joked they can smell our romance. We were out Kayaking and they were hovering and landing on us. While we were camping as well, walking in parks etc.

Perfect Timing!

3/24/10

I was rushing to class this morning and ended up being about 15 minutes late. As I was turning the corning to go down the hall I saw my professor coming around the opposite corner at the other end. We make it to the classroom entrance at the same time and she says "Perfect Timing!". I lucked out of getting a LATE on my attendance and was quite relieved.

Class goes well. My Professor spends most of the time explaining the next project. About 5 minutes before the class ends she remembers there is a show for which she needs FIVE pieces from our class. She reads off the names and I am one of them! We have to find a hard cardboard like surface to mount the drawings and bring them to her office which is in a part of the school I am not familiar with.

I freak out because I have to get to work in less than an hour and would be stuck there until 6 p.m. I tear the back off my drawing pad, trim and tape the artwork creating a makeshift matting for it. I rush through the school looking for her office. A security guard helps with directions and I end up bumping into her enroute.

She is speaking with someone I do not know but from the way she was speaking I could tell is someone of importantance. My professor was pleading for more gallery space, supplies etc.. I walk right up and am introduced. The professor grabs my prepared drawing which I had in my hands and showers praise on me backing her arguement. The Stranger is very impressed and smiles congratulating me.

I walk away with my Professor and she says "Mr ROSA! Again with the perfect timing" smiling. I smile back and tell her I hope I helped to win over this school official. She replies "I think you did."

Right place at the right time :)

Tarot Cards!

3/12/10 - 3/13/10 a pretty nasty storm hit the NY Metro area. The power went out at my girlfriend's apartment so we went to see Alice in Wonderland and did some laundry and driving around. Many trees were uprooted and power lines ripped down. By Monday morning tho everything had calmed down so we headed out to work as usual, me to NJ and her farther north into NY. Before leaving tho she began shuffling her Tarot deck. I was getting my things together preparing to leave. For some reason I felt the need to draw a card. I asked what she had pulled and she said the SUN card. I shuffled and came to a point where I felt the urge to stop and lo and behold... it was the same SUN card. I immediately asked how many cards are in the deck and she replied around 72. What are the odds?

Another incident from that morning, 3/15/10... During the storm I kept looking out the window and even went out into the bad weather checking our vehicles for any damage from any debris that was whipping around from the gusty winds. Well on my way to work, when the weather was perfectly fine, my car did end up getting hit, rearended by a young girl who was not paying attention. Fortunately there was no damage to either car and we were both fine.

Laundromat Luck

On 2/21/10 I was doing laundry with my girlfriend Cathy. Part of her routine when putting the clothes into the dryers is to check the lint catching pull outs. There is usually some change or socks stuck in there but nothing major. Sunday, however, she had the feeling there was some money and she did indeed find $5.00. She confessed her premonition while celebrating and said she had anticipated a twenty but the five was better than nothing.

Documenting the things that make you go hmmm

This is an attempt to document and better understand strange coincidences that have been happening in my life. This is sometimes called Synchronicity. I will go into further detail in the future.

First thing up...

The numbers 525. That string of 3 numbers have been popping up on paperwork, phone numbers, dollar amounts etc. The meaning... who knows. It is just an observation that feels strange.
